Thirsk and Malton General Election 2019 results in full

Voters in Thirsk and Malton have gone to the ballot box to elect their MP in the General Election 2019.

 A new Member of Parliament is being elected for the constituency, which includes the district of Ryedale, and several wards of the district of Hambleton.

The sitting MP before the election was the Conservatives' Kevin Hollinrake.

The seat has been held by the Tories since it was created in 2010.

It voted to leave in the 2016 EU referendum.

Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday December 12 with the vote expected to take place overnight.

Results:

New MP is Kevin Hollinrake.

Breakdown:

Conservative: Kevin Hollinrake - 35,634

Labour: David Yellen - 10,480

Liberal Democrat: Dinah Keal - 6,774

Green: Martin Brampton - 2,263

The Yorkshire Party: John Hall - 881

Independent: Steve Mullins - 245

Independent: Gordon Johnson - 184

Social Democratic Party - Michael Taylor
