A YELLOW warning has been issued by the Met Office, as Scots across the country look set to face thunderstorms.
It is the third warning to be issued in the last few days, after the weekend saw two other warnings for rain and thunderstorms which affected much of the mainland.
The new yellow warning for thunderstorms will come into effect at 11am on Monday and will end at 9pm.
Some areas of Scotland could see downpours of up to 40mm, with lightning strikes, hail and strong winds also likely.
The alert will affect much of the mainland, with some parts of the Highlands, Western Isles and the north east spared.
A yellow warning means that people can expect to see road closures, difficult driving conditions, flooding and potential powercuts.
Traffic Scotland has warned motorists of difficult driving conditions and urged people to take care.
Meanwhile, public transport may also be impacted by flooding.
ScotRail said that while it aimed to operate a full timetable, the heavy rain and thunderstorm could lead to issues on the track, causing delays.
The rail operator urged people to check their journey details before travelling.
