Third time’s the charm — ‘Art of Banksy’ now set for River North location

The Chicago edition of “The Art of Banksy” will now take place at 360 N. State. | Artist’s rendering/Provided

After two previous postponements and site relocations, organizers of “The Art of Banksy” Chicago exhibit on Friday announced the exhibition will now take place at 360 N. State (the structure adjacent to Marina Towers). Opening date is now set for Aug. 14.

The building’s 4th floor — 45,000-square-feet of gallery space — will house the exhibit, which features more than 80 of the elusive artist’s works sold to private collectors. Guests can also visit the space’s outdoor balcony and a VIP/Private reception room on the 3rd floor.

The exhibit was originally slated to open July 1 in a West Loop location. Those plans ultimately fell through and “Banksy” was moved to the Epiphany Center for the Arts on South Ashland Avenue, with an Aug. 7 opening date. Those subsequent plans fell through earlier this month, leaving the exhibit temporarily without a Chicago home and leaving ticketholders wondering just where and when they’d be experiencing the highly-anticipated show.

The show will run through Oct. 31. Ticketholders with dates prior to Aug. 14 will be contacted directly about refunds or exchanges. For more information visit banksyexhibit.com.
