Third teenager charged in connection with 'shooting' on Glasgow street

A third teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged 'shooting' in Glasgow at the weekend.

Emergency services raced to Garlieston Road, Barlanark, around 9.25pm on Saturday after a 33-year-old man was found seriously injured.

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and currently remains in hospital receiving treatment. His condition is described as serious but stable.

Police have today confirmed a third suspect, an 18-year-old male, has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder.

He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

This follows two other men, aged 16 and 17, also being charged in connection with this incident.

The 16-year-old male appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday and the 17-year-old is expected to appear at court today.

Detective Sergeant William Downie, from Greater Glasgow CID, said: “We’d like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation.”
