Police Scotland have said that enquiries are ongoing after a robbery at a tanning salon on Main Street in Davidson Mains.
This is the second robbery of a tanning salon in as many weeks in the area.
The incident is believed to have taken place at around 5:00pm on Sunday September 5.
Terrified staff at the IndigoSun outlet in Davidson's Mains were accosted by a man carrying a weapon, who then sped off on a BMX with a three-figure sum of cash from the till.
Police were notified of the incident shortly after 11:40am on Wednesday September 1 and had launched an appeal for information.
Edinburgh Live had also reported on a tanning salon that had been targeted in the Canonmills area of Edinburgh on August 27.
This is the third robbery of a tanning salon since August 27.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a robbery at premises on Main Street in Davidson Mains, Edinburgh around 5.05pm on Sunday, 5 September.
“Nobody was injured. Enquiries are ongoing and at an early stage.”
