Third pharmacy secured by regional operator as GP-owned outlet bought

A South Yorkshire pharmacist has swooped for a third outlet in northern Lincolnshire.

Goxhill’s The Village Pharmacy has been acquired in an undisclosed deal by Sachin Tammewar, who currently operates in Sheffield and Rotherham.

Described as a well-established, standard hours pharmacy which dispenses an average of 7,500 items per month, it was owned by a consortium of GPs, and is integrated into a health centre.

Described it as a “profitable venture with scope to increase income through further advanced services,” by Christie & Co, Dr Deepak Gone, representing the consortium, said: “We are happy the sale has been completed after long delays partly due to the current ongoing pandemic. We wish the new owners all the best.”

There was a lot of interest from first-time buyers and independent operators according to Karl Clezy, director at Christie & Co, who was thanked by Mr Tammewar, stating he was “delighted with the purchase”.
