Third person charged over body found in Brisbane wheelie bin

Police have charged a 23-year-old woman with being an accessory to murder over the killing of a man whose body was found dumped in a wheelie bin on Brisbane's southside.

Jamie Lee Tarraran appeared in court on the charge as well as with breaching bail, and will remain in custody until the matter returns to court next year.

Last weekend police were called to a Yeronga unit complex after residents complained of a "terrible smell".

Officers discovered the body of Kym Mitchell, 61, wrapped in black garbage bags inside the residential rubbish bin.

Police said Mr Mitchell had been dead for several days and was not living at the property where his body was found.

The details surrounding his death have not been revealed.

Following a public appeal to help find four people of interest, Yeronga man Adam John Charles Evans, 30, was charged with his murder.

After a brief court appearance on Monday he was remanded in custody and is expected to return to court early next year.

Robert Louis Gibson, 38, who was also charged with murder, was remanded in custody after his matter was briefly mentioned in the Brisbane magistrates court this morning — his appearance was excused.

Police have praised the community response to the request for information and will continue to investigate.
