A 30-year-old man has been charged in relation to the alleged murder of Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop.
According to Queensland Police, it will be alleged the man used the 17-year-old’s mobile phone to interfere with the investigation.
Kieren Daniel Mittelheuser was arrested shortly after 7pm on Tuesday night in Bundaberg West following extensive inquiries, and has been charged with two counts of accessory after the fact to murder.
He is expected to appear before Bundaberg Magistrates Court today, July 2.

Bishop was last seen near Bundaberg airport on May 15. She had booked a trip to Western Australia, but CCTV footage revealed that she never entered the airport.
Weeks later, on June 6, human remains were found in Good Night Scrub National Park. They were formally identified as the teen on June 17.
Her housemates James Wood and Tanika Bromley — with whom she was living in a Gin Gin share house — have since been charged with one count each of murder. They are also facing two counts each of interfering with a corpse.
Speaking after the charges were laid, Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield said police will allege in court the pair killed Pheobe and moved her body “more than once”, per 9News.

A private funeral service for 17-year-old was held in Bundaberg on June 30, with Bishop’s mother Kylie Johnson telling the ABC the family was “devastated this is something we have had to navigate”.
“This is absolutely everybody’s worst nightmare, however, we promised to get Phee home and give her a send-off that Phee would approve of and that’s what will happen,” she said in a statement.
She urged families to “hug their kids a little tighter” and “capture every moment” in their memories, adding: “Those moments are the ones that help you continue to fight on the difficult days and smile through your tears when the world is unbearable.”
More to come.
