Third man in court charged with 'attempted murder' of Scott Bennett in Scots car park

A third man has appeared in court charged attempted murder outside a Scots veterinary surgery.

Barry Harvey is accused of trying to kill Scott Bennett, 40, on December 3, 2018.

The murder bid is said to have taken place in the car park at Taylors Veterinary Practice in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire.

Harvey, 33, made no plea during his hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court for a second time, within the next eight days.

Harvey is the third man to be charged in connection with the incident.

We told how Thomas Guthrie, 26, and Darren Owen, 21, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on December 20.

The paid both made no plea in separate hearings.

The pair were also remanded in custody and are expected to return to the dock again next week.
