Third man 'claims £4m lottery jackpot' saying his card was used to buy ticket

A third person has reportedly stepped forward saying he is owed a £4million lottery prize is his - because his card was used to buy it.

Camelot, which runs the National Lottery, has refused to pay out a £4million scratchcard prize to Mark Goodram and Jon-Ross Watson, who say they bought the winning ticket at a Waitrose in south London.

The Mirror reports there are fears the pair used "funds obtained without the owner's consent" to buy the lucky scratchcard.

The two friends, who are from Bolton in Greater Manchester, spent four days celebrating their win - living a luxurious lifestyle with magnums of champagne and cocktails.

But Camelot quickly launched an investigation into whose debit card was used to buy the ticket - and has not paid out the prize.

The friends then said they would "call the police" on Camelot for denying them their price, telling The Sun: "We have a winning ticket, where’s our cash?".

Now a third man has also reportedly stepped forward to claim the prize - saying the card used to pay for the ticket was his.

This man is reportedly calling on Camelot to give him the millions, which he says are rightfully his.

Meanwhile, Goodram and Watson are planning to sue the company for breach of contract , with the pair's lawyer saying his clients are entitled to the winnings.

Camelot said at the time: "Security procedures form a key part of the process of validating a winning ticket to ensure we maintain the integrity of The National Lottery.

"Should there be any doubt surrounding the validity of a claim, we would undertake a thorough investigation to ensure we pay out the rightful ticketholder."

The company added it does not comment on individual prize claims.

The Mirror previously revealed Goodram was allegedly made homeless earlier this month, just a week after going on a celebration spending spree.
