Third man charged over doorstep shooting of Scots gym boss Gary More

Cops have arrested and charged a third man in connection with the brutal doorstep shooting death of Scots gym boss Gary More for nearly three years ago.

Police Scotland have confirmed the arrest of a 33-year-old man after the slaying of Gary outside his his home in Gartness Drive on the evening of Thursday, 6 September, 2018.

It comes less than two weeks after Neil Anderson, 45, and Thomas Guthrie, 25, were jailed for more than 40 years for their parts in the assassination.

The police statement read: "Officers have arrested and charged a 33 year old man in connection with the death of Gary More in Airdrie.

"Gary More died after he was shot outside his home in Gartness Drive on the evening of Thursday, 6 September, 2018.

"Two other men, Neil Anderson and Thomas Guthrie, have already been convicted and sentenced for their involvement in Gary's murder."

Detective Superintendent Andrew Patrick, the senior investigating officer from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: "Enquiries such as this are complex, challenging and can take time.

"However with our partners, we are committed to bringing to justice those responsible for these serious crimes. My thoughts remain with the family of Gary More."
