Third man arrested over death of security guard dad at Lanarkshire building site

A third man has been arrested in connection with the death of Mohammed Abu Sammour in North Lanarkshire last year.

An 18-year-old man is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court tomorrow over the death of the dad-of-four who died at a Taylor Wimpey building site in Newarthill on October 28, 2018.

The 49-year-old, from Caldercruix , was taken to Wishaw General Hospital following the incident, however he died a short time after arriving.

A Police Scotland statement read: "A third man has been arrested on warrant in connection with the death of Mohammed Abu Sammour in Newarthill, North Lanarkshire, on Sunday, 28 October 2018.

"The 18-year-old man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday, 11 October 2019."
