Third man, 18, arrested over death of Mohammad Abu Sammour

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on warrant over the death of Mohammad Abu Sammour.

The security guard, 49, was found lying seriously injured in a Lanarkshire street in October last year and emergency services arrived at the scene - Sammour was then taken to Wishaw General Hospital where he died shortly after.

The 18-year-old is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court in connection with Sammour's death on Friday.

As previously reported in Glasgow Live, two men were convicted of Sammour's murder in the High Court in Glasgow yesterday.

Scott Pearson, 22, was locked up for a minimum 18 years after he was convicted of murdering the dad-of-four at a Taylor Wimpey building site in Newarthill, Lanarkshire.

Ryan Hunter, 28,  was sentenced to six years after he pled guilty to the reduced charge of culpable homicide.
