A further crash on the M8 motorway in Glasgow city centre is causing traffic chaos this afternoon.
Traffic Scotland have confirmed news of the road traffic collision on the M8 between J15 (Townhead Interchange) -J16 (Dobbie’s Loan Interchange).
Police were called to the scene as a result.
As a result of the collision, lanes 3 and 4 (of 4) were closed and traffic was queued back to Junction 14 (Blochairn Interchange).
Queues are still in place at Junction 18 (Charing Cross), with three lanes restricted westbound.
It comes following the news that one person has died following a road traffic collision which took place early this morning on the M8 Eastbound at Shotts.
Police Scotland have confirmed that the motorway remains shut both east and westbound between Junctions 4 and 5 whilst collision investigation is ongoing.
They have also asked that any driver using the M8 in the early hours of this morning who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dash cam footage of the incident, to contact them.
