A third case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Stockport.
It came as a second case was confirmed in neighbouring Tameside.
As of 3pm on Thursday (March 12), the number of confirmed cases in Greater Manchester stood at 26.
The third case of COVID-19 in Stockport was confirmed by the local authority today.
Stockport Council said the patient was receiving the relevant care and treatment in line with Public Health England guidance.
Leader of the council Elise Wilson said: “We’re working closely with health colleagues to stop the virus spreading.

"Our main aim is to protect our residents.
"But I urge everyone to take time and find out how best to protect yourself and others by visiting the NHS website."
Director of Public Health for Stockport, Jennifer Connolly said: “Good hygiene is still the best prevention and there are some simple steps you can take to protect you and your family by washing your hands regularly and thoroughly and if you cough, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue.
"If you have recently been to one of the affected countries and are feeling unwell, you should undertake the NHS111 questionnaire and follow the advice you receive.
"Alternatively you can speak to NHS111.
"Please don’t go to your doctor.
"There’s lots of advice on how people can protect themselves online on the NHS website.
"Please keep up to date with this trusted guidance in addition to following the Council's website and social media accounts."
Official figures show that 590 people have now tested positive for coronavirus across the UK.

A total of 10 people have died from the virus across the country.
They include a man in his 60s who passed away last Sunday at North Manchester General Hospital after he was diagnosed with coronavirus.
