Have you completed or are you about to complete an undergraduate degree, and looking to take your study to the next level? Or are you already employed and keen to enhance your career prospects, or change direction?
Five reasons to study for an MA
Further your career: Most postgraduates earn more than undergraduates over the course of their careers. If you are thinking of teaching in an art school, it's likely that you will need a postgraduate qualification as an entry requirement.
Gain links with industry: A UAL postgraduate degree will introduce you to high-level networks and give you the skills to develop your career after graduation. You will uncover industry contacts and work experience opportunities.
Study flexibly: Many courses are designed to fit around careers or parenting. Other courses, such as the executive MBA fashion and MA fine art digital (visual arts), offer low-residency options to students anywhere in the world, who come to London for short intensive study periods.
Develop your practice: Whatever your chosen discipline, an MA will allow you to grow creatively and professionally. You will develop the knowledge, skills and experience to realise personal ambitions and to find your own individual style.
Pursue a passion for a particular subject: Most taught postgraduate courses will let you select specialist modules, while research courses will allow you to develop a chosen area of study in greater depth.

CCW Graduate School
"As soon as I came to the Camberwell open day, wandered around, saw the studios, witnessed the ace printmaking facilities and chatted to the tutors – I knew I would feel right at home here."
Ashley Fauguel, MA illustration (Camberwell College of Arts, 2013)
The CCW Graduate School is home to Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon colleges' research and taught postgraduate courses. Central to its success is the quality of its research provision and the calibre of staff and students. The school forms partnerships and collaborations with key institutions and individuals in the cultural sectors and beyond. This, combined with a cross-disciplinary, thematic approach, means that creative practice and enquiry can take place in a broader social, cultural and economic context.
Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design

Rahul Boggaram, MA industrial design (2012)
Central Saint Martins' world-leading portfolio of taught postgraduate and research courses in art, fashion, textiles, communication, performance, product and spatial design includes the new postgraduate art programme. London College of Fashion Graduate School
"I chose LCF because it's one of the best footwear schools in the world. The favourite part of my course has been developing strong relationships with industry. I would love to work for a luxury footwear brand or launch my own label, and the range and scope of what I have been able to do has propelled me forward."
Sophie Cox, MA fashion footwear
London College of Fashion's Graduate School offers taught courses in fashion design and technology, business and management, and media and communication. LCF also offers a range of research degrees. Emphasis is placed on quality of research, innovation and craftsmanship.
