Think you've got what it takes to be a contestant on Countdown?

OK, see if you can read this whole article in the time it takes for your brain to play the Countdown theme music.

*Countdown music begins*

Oh we're just joking, don't panic.

But being able to do things in 30 seconds - set to the drama of the all-time classic, clock-ticking banger that is the Countdown theme music - is crucial if you're going to be a winner on Countdown.

If you're good at making coherent words out a mere jumble of letters and excellent at getting to a numerical target using only five random numbers, then why not put yourself to the test on TV?

Anne Robinson and Rachel Riley are waiting for you.

Each day two contestants compete in 15 rounds of words and numbers to become the Countdown Champion.

To apply for to be one of these brave souls, you can either use the online application form.

Or, if you are unable to complete the online application form or have any questions, you can email countdown@channel4.com.

Fancy being in the audience?

You can email countdownaudience@itv.com.

Filming takes place at The Studios, MediaCityUK, Salford and all audience tickets for the programme are available free of charge.

Due to the nature of the programme and the studio environment in which it is recorded, the minimum age for audience members is 16 years.

Audience members aged 16 and 17 years will need to be accompanied during the programme recording by an adult aged 18 years or above.

Good luck!
