Think you’re ready to tackle this workout by Dolphins’ DL Davon Godchaux?

NFL athletes are a special breed. The size, power and mobility of these athletes makes for an awesome on the field product and is a big part of why the sport is thriving so much. But don’t let the ease in which these athletes are able to move fool you — what they do is difficult. Very difficult.

Take Dolphins’ defensive tackle Davon Godchaux for example. At a listed 311 pounds, Godchaux is a big man. Which begs the question — how many of you big guys out there are capable of tackling the length of a football field on this apparatus? Heck, how many of you — regardless of your stature or size — think you’ve got what it takes?

Godchaux is grinding away in preparation for his 2019 season — his third in the NFL after leaving LSU in 2017. With the Dolphins’ transition to a more multiple defense, Godchaux figures to be a beneficiary. Why? His heavy anchor will come in handy as the Dolphins look to stack up the interior gaps with odd fronts (three down linemen) and let their athletic linebackers on the second level roam free.

But don’t put Godchaux into a box as an unathletic space-eater, he’s clearly got the athletic ability to make gliding down the length of the field on his hands look pretty darn easy.
