Things you will know if you used to go to Colomendy as a kid

North Wales holiday camp Colomendy played a huge role in the childhood of many Scousers - as much as trips on the ferry, or visiting Formby beach.

For more than 70 years, trips to Colomendy were a rite of passage for kids across Merseyside, with hundreds of children flocking to the North Wales holiday camp each year with their school.

And this month, the Royal Court has a new comedy about the school trip favourite.

Lost in Colomendy follows four middle aged chancers, sent on a team building course that will make or break them. The show runs from January 31 to February 29 with tickets available here.

For those who spent their childhood visiting Colomendy, see how many of these you remember:

1. There was always one crier waving off the coach…

2. And somebody always jokingly reminded you to put your watch forward

3. Not to mention somebody always asked ‘did you remember your passport?’

4. There was always rivalry between the other school visiting at the same time as you

5. And a couple of scuffles behind the dorms

6. You absolutely lived for the tuck shop

7. And dib dab lollipops

8. There was always somebody who forgot to bring a change of underwear or shoes

9. Somebody always attempted to climb Moel Famau in flip flops or inappropriate shoes and clothing

10. Speaking of which - did anyone ever make it to that chippy at the top of Moel Famau?

11. You spent the majority of the time scared of Peg Leg

12. There was always a falling out over the bunk beds

13. The toast was always like rubber

14. But it was a luxury next to the salty porridge

15. The best thing about the packaged lunches was the brown bag it came in

16. Somebody always tried to sneak into the girls or boys dorms

17. And don’t even get us started on those shower rooms

18. You were always jealous of the other kids doing canoeing or abseiling

19. ‘Team building’ would always result in kick offs

20. Some of the best times you had was playing football on the field

21. Everyone walked to Devil’s Gorge and did the catwalk

22. You had to capture everything on your wind up camera

23. The disco was so awful, it was great

24. You always wondered what was in the teachers room

25. And it was weird seeing the teachers in their nighties

26. You always packed too much

27. You probably had the time of your life
