Give yourself a pat on the back: January, the monthly equivalent of a five-pint hangover, is almost over and done with.

And there are plenty of ways to say goodbye in style this weekend in the capital, whether you fancy big ol’ rave, cut-price culinary goodies, or a night at the comedy club.

Here’s your weekend to-do list.

Have one last dance at The Drumsheds

(Eric Aydin Barberini)

North London music venue The Drumsheds has announced that it will be calling it a day after two-and-a-half years, and it’ll say farewell with this huge day-to-night party. Headlined by a b2b set from two of the best DJs on the circuit, Floating Points and Four Tet, expect sets from Jon Hopkins, Carl Craig, Ben UFO, Jennifer Cardini and others.

Get the party started for Chinese New Year

BAO’s tiger-striped buns (Handout)

Chinese and Lunar New Year celebrations will officially kick off on February 1 in 2022, but some London restaurants are getting in early with their Year of the Tiger festivities. BAO is serving tiger-striped buns from Friday, Wing Wing is dishing out limited edition wings until February 15, while high-end Mayfair joint MiMi Mei Fair is running an opulent feasting menu with wok-baked lobster and more. And of course, you can’t go wrong with a trip to Chinatown.

Grab a wallet-friendly bite at the Camden Markets

(Handout)

Food just tastes that bit better when you know you’ve got it for a good price, which means the new £5 Munch Club offer running in Camden is a particularly tasty deal. More than 80 food traders across Camden’s Markets, Lock, Stables, Buck Street and Hawley Wharf are giving out all manner of goodies for a fiver — jerk chicken wraps at Rudie’s Jerk Shack, tofu teriyaki boxes at Island Poké, Argentinian steak sandwiches at Meat Point, churros and hot chocolates at Churros London, and more. (Handout)

Studio Tour in Watford rolls into the new year with a new feature, focusing on all the various tricks and pranks featured in the films — think the Weasley twins’ practical jokes, the secret behind the filming of invisibility cloak scenes, and the like.
