Things to do in Dublin this weekend: Cocktails, drag brunch and much more

You won't be short of things to do in Dublin this weekend as a myriad of events are taking place in the city. From drag disco brunch to a cultural festival celebrating Dublin 8 to live music and tasty cocktails, there is plenty on the roster this weekend in Dublin.

Here are the six best things to do in Dublin this weekend.

Drag disco brunch

Taking place at The Well at St Stephen's Green this Saturday, May 14, drag disco brunch brings back the excitement of regular disco brunch with an added bit of glamour.

Disco and House music will be supplied by Claire Beck while Mimi Lane will return to belt out a few club classics. Meanwhile, drag performers Viola Gayvis and Aurora Heartfeelia are set to wow audiences.

Tickets cost €30 which includes brunch and one cocktail.

MusicTown

MusicTown 2022 comes to an end this Sunday, May 15. Before it finishes up, there are a range of events you can enjoy, celebrating the diverse music genres of music that call Dublin home.

Culture Date with Dublin 8

Concerts, walking tours, workshops and other cultural events are set to take place across The Liberties and Dublin 8 this weekend as Culture Date with Dublin 8 takes place this Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15.

The programme includes a twilight market, free walking tours, exhibitions and much more.

PhizzFest

A festival dedicated to celebrating the bustling neighbourhood of Phibsborough takes place this weekend.

The special festival aims to and celebrate artistic life around the area and to highlight the rich diversity and culture in the Dublin 7 neighbourhood.

The 2022 festival programme includes plenty of exhibitions as well as theatre performances, live music and poetry.

Electric Circus recently opened up on Talbot Street, adding a much needed nightlife destination to Dublin's north inner city.

Serving signature cocktails as well as tasty food, the bar's decor is the real draw here with endless things dotted around the venue's walls for you to look at.

Paint by the Pints

Even if art isn't your thing, Paint by the Pints is a great alternative event for you and your mates to try.

Taking place this Saturday, May 14 at MVP on Clanbrassil Street, tickets cost €25 which two free pints of Guinness to enjoy during your painting masterclass. There are also prizes to be won on the night.
