Things to do in Dublin: City centre set to transform into outdoor cinema this weekend and they're showing two brilliant films

Dublin’s city centre will be transformed into an outdoor cinema this Saturday.

Lights, Camera, Action! DublinTown will see an open cinema event which will screen two superhero themed films - The Incredibles at 2pm and The Avengers at 4pm.

Bring your kids along to Wolfe Tone Square for a day of fun movies and family themed activities.

The movies chosen by the public will be played on a large screen in the centre of a mini village made up of local businesses from the Dublin One area.

DublinTown is bringing their superhero-themed free family fun and entertainment to Henry St and the newly pedestrianised Suffolk St. Rotating locations each week, starting on Henry St, over eight Saturdays from July 13th to August 31st it will take place between 1pm - 5pm (Leon Farrell / Photocall Ireland)

There will also be free face-painting, giant games, colouring competitions and superhero characters.

You can grab tasty treats from a variety of food stalls including ice-cream from Gino’s Gelato, pizza from Papa John’s, baked goods from Camerino Bakery, hot dishes from The Church, and The Tram Café.

Kids will also have the chance to meet the real life heroes of the emergency services with fire trucks and garda vehicles there on the day.

The event will be taking place from 1pm to 6pm.
