We’re a good few weeks in now, and the UK like the rest of the world is still in the grips of the coronavirus lockdown.
Things are tough out there, but with millions of us have been tuning in for these online events, as well as theatre shows, live comedy and art exhibitions from our sofas, there are plenty of ways to feel connected even in isolation.
Nightlife, too, has been making its way into people’s homes through virtual club nights, and people are finding ways of enjoying live music during these testing times.
These are our top picks of the things to get up to today – make sure to check out our main guide for things to keep yourself occupied with at home, too.
Take an Earth Day Design Challenge with the Design Museum

The Design Museum is commemorating Earth Day by welcoming climate club and creative studio Adapt on Instagram Live. Together, they’ll talk through the ways design can inspire environmental activism with a virtual lecture, inspiring people to make a difference – even when they’re stuck at home.
Test your knowledge with Fourpure Brewing Co.

London-based brewery Fourpure is getting in on the quizzing game by hosting an Instagram pub quiz. It starts at 5pm, but if you can’t make it, don’t worry – the interactive quiz is available on its Instagram Stories for 24 hours, and you can enter any time during that period. One of the highest-scoring players is then selected at random and wins a 12-pack of Fourpure beers.
Celebrate Earth Day Live with a live concert
Marking the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, this three-day stream series pulls together musicians, artists and activists for a heavy-hitting line-up — it ranges from Moby and Questlove to Joaquin Phoenix and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Tune in from 2pm-2am on April 22-24.
Tune in for the Jersey 4 Jersey Benefit Show

Bruce Springsteen leads the line-up at this charity bash, which is raising funds for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund over in the States. Tony Bennett, Jon Stewart and Jon Bon Jovi are among the others set to appear. Tune in to Apple TV from midnight to watch along.
