Things to do at home during lockdown: The best online and virtual events taking place today

We’re weeks into it now, and the UK like the rest of the world is still in the grips of the coronavirus lockdown.

Things are tough out there, but there’s a silver lining – the UK’s cultural output has moved online, and millions of us have been tuning in for theatre shows, live comedy and art exhibitions from our sofas.

Nightlife, too, has been making its way into people’s homes through virtual club nights, and people are finding ways of enjoying live music during testing times.

Bag tickets to Mo Gilligan’s free show for NHS staff and key workers

Comedian Mo Gilligan is doing his bit to support NHS key workers by performing a free matinee show on November 14 at London’s Eventim Apollo. Tickets are available today, which allocations released at 10am, 1pm and 5pm, ensuring key workers can claim their free tickets around their shifts. Until the show itself, fans can watch Mo’s stand-up special Momentum on Netflix.
