The first steps have been taken to ease lockdown, but we're still going to be spending plenty of time at home over the coming weeks.
Thankfully, London has been busy moving it’s cultural output online, and millions of us have been tuning in for theatre, comedy and art exhibitions from our sofas.
There’s good news for foodies, too, with more restaurants opening for delivery, and cinemas hopeful of opening soon.
These are our top picks of the things to get up to online this weekend – make sure to check out our main guides for things to keep yourself occupied at home and new hobbies to try out too.
See Lewis Capaldi live in concert
The chart-topping Scot is marking the first anniversary of his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent by performing the whole thing acoustically for the first time. Tickets for this one are a fiver, with the show in aid of suicide prevention charity CALM. Tune in from 8pm on Saturday on dice.fm.
Celebrate an alternative Eurovision with Showstoppers
This year’s cancelled Eurovision would have taken place this weekend, and there are plenty of alternative events to check out instead. Christopher Biggins, Arlene Phillips, London Hughes and Claire Sweeney are the guests judges for a highly anticipated event from Showstoppers, while comedian Tom Allen provides the commentary. The Olivier Award-winning musical comedy group is planning to pull out all the stops for this, channelling all the camp and cheese of the event itself with a series of performances from 8pm on Friday. Make sure to check out our guide to who might have won this year's competition, too.
Watch the best comedy specials online
Comedy clubs are shut for the foreseeable future, but there’s a wealth of fantastic comedy specials to check out online in the meantime. Highlights include Katherine Ryan’s Glitter Room on Netflix, Mar Martin’s Us on Soho Theatre on Demand and Jayde Adams’ Serious Black Jumper on Amazon Prime – read the full guide here.
Tune in for Five4Five Fest
Don Broco and Enter Shikari are the headline acts at this two-day festival, which is asking viewers to make a £5 donation to NHS Charities Together if they can. The event is taking place all weekend, begining from Friday on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Take part in a film watchalong with Universal

Universal is encouraging movie lovers to revisit some of its classic releases at home, organising coordinated watchalongs every Saturday throughout the rest of May. Things begin with classic slasher Halloween this Saturday at 9pm UK time, with special guests Jamie Lee Curtis – who starred in the original 1978 Halloween and its 2018 sequel – and David Gordon Green, who directed the latter commenting on the movies over Twitter.
