Thieves use 'large builder's bag' to steal cigarettes from Tesco Extra in Top Valley

Three men broke into Tesco Extra in Top Valley and stole a large amount of cigarettes.

The incident happened on Sunday, July 14, just before 9.30pm.

The offenders, who were wearing dark clothing, left the store in Top Valley Way carrying a large white builder’s bag.

Police Constable Ash Butler, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "We’re appealing for anyone who saw anything or who has any information that could help us with our investigation to please contact us.

"Did you see a large blue car with a number plate hanging off it leaving the Rigley Drive area at speed?

"We're interested in tracing this car and would appeal for anyone who has any information about it to report it to us.

"It’s possible the car was not involved in the incident, but we are appealing to the driver to come forward so we can eliminate them from our enquiries."

If you have any information call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 915 of 14 July 2019, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
