Thieves strike in Clifton with several vehicles targeted

Several vehicles are believed to have been targeted by thieves in the Clifton area of Bristol, prompting an appeal by police for victims to come forward.

During the early hours of Thursday 23 January a number of incidents occurred around the Kensington Place area of Clifton.

Police officers responded to reports of a man breaking into a car shortly before 2am and arrested a man.

They also noticed that a van nearby had its doors open.

Police believe that other vehicles in the area may have been targeted and would like to hear from owners in the area.

In December there were 21 incidents of vehicle crime in Clifton.

People are urged to contact the police quoting reference 5220017560.

A 39-year-old man from Bristol who was arrested has now been released under investigation.
