Thieves steal rings from woman's fingers during Mansfield robbery

An investigation has been launched after three men stole rings from a woman's hand during a robbery inside her Mansfield home.

The incident happened at about 8.55pm on Wednesday (August 26) inside the Yorke Street home, with the men getting into the home and demanding money in the woman's bedroom.

Police say one of the offenders took two rings and two bracelets along with a watch from the victim, while the other two men blocked off the door.

Nottinghamshire Police have released descriptions of the three men they want to speak to as part of the investigation.

Detective Sergeant Dave Prest said: "My team are working around the clock to establish who is behind this incident.

"We are looking for three men. The main offender is described as white, of a large, tall build, with light coloured hair.

"He is believed to be in his late 30s/early 40s. He was wearing a black face mask and dark clothing with a hood up and gloves.

"The other two men were believed to be younger in age and all wearing dark clothing and masks.

"We have gathered substantial evidence and are continuing to make our enquiries.

"We won't tolerate burglary offences in Nottinghamshire and will do everything in our power to bring these criminals to justice."

If you recognise the descriptions or have any information that could help, contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident 760 of August 26.
