Police are warning Hermosa business owners about thieves who stole from shipping containers in November and December.

In each case, the suspects arrived at the lot in multiple vehicles or one van and broke into parked shipping containers to steal items from within, Chicago police said.

The thefts happened in the 4600 block of West North Avenue, police said. One was at 3:03 a.m. Nov. 25, and the other was about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 12.

In the first case, the suspects were described as two males in a white van, police said. In the other, five to seven males showed up to the lot in three vehicles.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
