Thieves steal from parked cars in Little Village: police

Someone would take parts from parked cars or property in them.

Police are warning Little Village residents to report suspicious activity immediately following four car thefts in June.

In each incident the offender took car parts from parked cars or property from within cars, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The incidents occurred:

  • June 1 and June 3 in the 3200 block of West 30th Street;
  • June 2 in the 2700 block of South California Avenue;
  • June 4 in the 2900 block of West 31st Street; and
  • June 7 in the 3100 block of South Springfield Avenue.

The incidents happened at all times of the day, police said.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8382.
