Thieves steal £7k worth of high-value electronic equipment from Bathgate flat

Police are investigating a Bathgate break-in after thieves stole £7K worth of TV's.

Thugs broke into a flat on Hopetoun Street between Wednesday and Friday and swiped thousands of pounds worth of valuables.

Police believed the car park at the rear of Royal Bank of Scotland was used to access the back of the property.

Various items were stolen including six large flat screen televisions, projectors, mixing desks and public address system speakers.

Detective Constable Ross Collett, of West Lothian CID, said: "The break-in was reported to us yesterday and although this happened at some point over the past three weeks, we're hopeful the incident attracted attention due to the type of items stolen.

"The items were large and heavy so a vehicle may have been involved in moving them.

"I would ask anyone who has any information or has been offered these items to contact us.

"Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1019 of 5 June 2020 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
