Thieves steal 28 sheep and lambs from West Lothian farm

Police are hunting livestock thieves who stole a total of 28 sheep and lambs from a farm in West Lothian.

The animals were taken on Saturday, April 27 from a field next to the A706 south on Linlithgow, near the Carriber reservoir.

Officers said 11 ewes and 17 lambs were taken between 5am and 9am.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity along the A706 has been asked to come forward.

Police Scotland said: "Were you in the area at between these times? Did you see or hear anything suspicious while traveling along the A706?

"If you have any information that could assist the enquiry please contact us on 101 and quote incident number 2547 of 27 April."
