Thieves 'ransack' home in Castleknock before making off with cash and jewellery

Heartless thieves ransacked a west Dublin home before making off with cash and jewellery in an early evening burglary.

The burglars broke into the home in Castleknock at around 5:30pm on Thursday evening.

It's understood they ransacked the home and stole the valuables after breaking in through a window.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live they are investigating the incident.

He said: "Gardaí in Blanchardstown are investigating a burglary that occurred yesterday evening, 13 February, at approximately 5.30pm in Castleknock, Dublin 15.

"Personal property was taken from the location. Investigation ongoing."
