As deliveries of parcels and post ramp up in the lead-up to Christmas, ACT Policing is investigating incidents during the early hours of Thursday morning in which Australia Post boxes were broken into in Kaleen, Giralang and North Lyneham.

The incident in Lyneham North occurred about 2.50am, and the incident in Giralang about 3.15am.

Police are yet to determine when the incident in Kaleen happened.

A white Jeep Cherokee, which police suspect may have been used in the incidents, was located burnt out in Hall this morning.

Hall residents reported finding mail and post material scattered around the local oval on Thursday.
