Police are calling for witnesses after thieves made off with thousands of dollars worth of bonsai plants and pots during a raid on a Darwin nursery.
Officers were called to the Berrimah property at 10:30pm Saturday after remote surveillance technology captured two people entering the site.
It is alleged they stole $5,000 worth of pots and bonsai plants, some of which were at least a decade old.
Investigations are continuing.
One male was seen on CCTV with his face wrapped in a t-shirt and wearing what appeared to be gloves and work boots.
It is believed the two offenders entered the property through the fence line fronting Lagoon Road, then carried the plants and pots to a nearby vehicle.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something, or anyone who has information about the stolen items is urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Earlier this week, seven bonsai trees, including one more than 400 years old, were stolen from a Japanese couple. Collectively the plants are worth at least $165,000.
