Thieves made off with golf equipment on quad bikes after smashing through wall

Detectives are investigating after a golf centre in Newark had its wall smashed and products stolen.

Officers were called to Newark Golf Centre in Winthorpe to investigate the incident, which is believed to have happened at about 8pm on April 21.

The centre was broken into through a smashed wall and a large quantity of golf equipment was stolen.

Nottinghamshire Police say three men were then seen leaving the scene on two quad bikes, with a trailer carrying items shortly afterwards.

Officers believe they travelled over farmland in the Coddington and Beacon Hill Road areas.

A spokesperson for the police said: "If you saw anything suspicious or have any information that could help, please contact us on 101 quoting incident 753 of April 21.

"You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
