Thieves break into house stealing car and valuable items as family sleep in Raheny

A family has issued a warning to neighbours and residents after their house in north Dublin was burgled while they lay fast asleep.

Thieves broke into the house in Tuscany Downs, Raheny in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Despite the house being occupied at the time, the culprits managed to steal multiple valuable items as well as getting their hands on the family car, a grey Hyundai i10.

Thankfully, the car was found in the nearby Edenmore Crescent but sadly the keys of the vehicle still remain at large.

In a statement to Dublin Live, Gardai confirmed they "are investigating a burglary at a premises in Tuscany Downs, Raheny, Co. Dublin which occurred at approximately 5:30am on the 18th of September 2019".

They added: "A number of items were taken from the property. No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing."
