Thieves break into coach firm in County Durham and steal £10,000 worth of tools

Thieves have broken into a coach firm in County Durham and stolen £10,000 worth of tools.

Officers from Durham Constabulary have launched an investigation after Lees Coaches in Moor Road, Langley Moor, was broken into between 5.30pm on Wednesday and 6.30am on Thursday.

Police believe that the thieves have driven to the back of the premises and forced open the rear fire door before taking a large tool box and tools estimated to be worth £10,000.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said the owners of the family business have been left "devastated" by the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote incident reference number 72 of August 6.

Alternatively, people can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by visiting the website.
