CCTV stills have been issued in a bid to catch two thieves who stole donation cash from a Buddhist temple.
Detectives said the burglars entered Wat Phra Singh on High Street in Runcorn via an unlocked back door at around 12.30am on Thursday.
Once inside they spent 10 minutes stealing from collection boxes before exiting through the car park towards Dukesfield.

The men’s faces were covered and they wore gloves. One of them ran with a limping left leg.

Enquiries have been ongoing and anyone who recognises the men or has information, CCTV or dashcam footage to make contact.
Detective Constable Daryl Gavin, of Runcorn local policing unit, said: “These men went into the temple which was unlocked at the time and stole money that had been donated by the public.

“Since it took place we have been following numerous lines of enquiry and are keen to hear from members of the public who may have information that could lead us to identifying the men in the CCTV images.

“I would also ask residents to check their CCTV or dash cam footage to see if it features the men and to get in contact with us.”
