Thieves break car windows, steal items in Ranch Triangle

Police are warning Ranch Triangle residents about a string of thefts from vehicles in October.

In each case, someone broke a car window and stole items from inside, Chicago police said in an alert.

All the thefts happened in the 900 block of West North Avenue, police said. Four incidents took place between 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Oct. 16. Two other thefts happened between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 27 and between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 31.

The suspects are described as a male and female using a red hatchback sedan, police said.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
