Thierry Small sends message to supporters after record-breaking Everton appearance

Thierry Small thanked Everton fans for their support after his record-breaking appearance in the FA Cup on Sunday evening.

The 16-year-old was brought off the bench in the second half of the Blues' 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Goodison Park, making him the youngest player to ever appear in a senior match for the club.

He and fellow under-23s star Tyler Onyango were both given their opportunity by Carlo Ancelotti in the 85th minute of the match, with Small replacing James Rodriguez.

And the youngster took to social media after the game to reveal his pride in playing for the Everton senior side and break the record he did.

"Also happy to break a record it’s special moment for me and my family it will definitely stay with me forever.

"Thank you for the support."

Small replaces Jose Baxter as the youngest player to ever play for the Blues.

read: "One of the proudest days of my life so grateful to be given the opportunity to make my first-team debut it’s a day I will never forget.
