Available numbers hint at striker move
Recent reports have suggested Gunners boss Mikel Arteta could want a new striker in the January transfer window.
With current forwards Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette currently misfiring and both facing uncertain futures at the Emirates, a new striker could be just what the side need.
Aubameyang currently occupies the No.14 shirt, while Lacazette is Arsenal's No.9.
But there is one number often worn by forwards which is still available for anyone who does come in.
Henry's "lunatics" admission
Thierry Henry has responded to Sir Alex Ferguson's claim that the Invincibles season was a bigger achievement than anything he managed at the helm of rivals Manchester United, branding his teammates "lunatics who hated to lose.".
He told GQ: "We were all leaders. We hated to lose. Obviously, we got sometimes smashed, sometimes we lost badly. But we were all leaders. We were always challenging each other. We were special.
"The likes of Patrick Viera in midfield and Dennis Bergkamp and then Sol Campbell, and Freddie [Ljungberg]. I'm not going to name the whole squad obviously. Because you easily could."
He also revealed how he would feel if another team also achieve an unbeaten season in the future.
January transfer update
Arsenal academy manager Per Mertesacker has issued a January transfer update for forward Folarin Balogun.
The Academy graduate had been expected to be around the first squad this season but has not been able to break through, leading to him admitting he may need to leave to get regular first-team action.
But things haven't quite worked out for him yet this season, with the young forward making just two Premier League appearances as he finds himself behind the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah in the pecking order.
And Mertesacker has spoken about whether the forward will move out to another club next month.
