Thierry Henry raves about Celtic's Odsonne Edouard as Arsenal legend makes transfer prediction

Arsenal hero Thierry Henry reckons Odsonne Edouard can go "right to the top" of world football.

The 22-year-old Celtic striker is being watched by a host of clubs and Record Sport exclusively revealed former boss Brendan Rodgers is set to launch a £30m bid to bring him to Leicester in the summer.

And the Irishman isn't the only man who is keen on Edouard with Henry waxing lyrical about his fellow Frenchman.

Rangers hero Ally McCoist revealed the Gunners legend gave the former Paris Saint-Germain man the big sell when the pair caught up at a recent match.

McCoist told talkSPORT: "The two best (in Scotland) in the forward areas are without doubt (Alfredo) Morelos and Edouard.

"There is absolutely no doubt about that.

"I spoke to Thierry Henry at the Liverpool vs Leicester City game and he really rates Edouard.

"He was saying in France in particular (Edouard is admired) and he personally really, really thinks he's got a chance of going right to the top."

And McCoist reckons his former team-mate Moussa Dembele is more than good enough to thrive south of the border if he earns a money-spinning to the Premier League

He added: "There was a rumour that Chelsea were interested in him.

"And if that was the case then you boys would get another sell on I'd image like you got when Van Dijk went from Southampton (to Liverpool).

"You are making more money out of sell-ons actually than we are in the transfer market. It's great business. Dembele was a player I liked."
