Thierry Henry makes 'different planet' claim after Liverpool beat Everton

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has claimed that Liverpool are “on another planet” after their win over Everton.

The Reds claimed a 4-1 victory over their city rivals at Goodison Park on Wednesday night in the 239th edition of the Merseyside derby.

Captain Jordan Henderson opened the scoring with a sublime strike early in the first half, before Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool’s lead in the 20th minute.

Demarai Gray got a goal back for Everton before half time, but Liverpool scored two more goals after the interval through Salah and Diogo Jota to seal all three points.

Henry was working as a pundit for Liverpool’s win over Everton, and was giving his verdict on the Reds at full time.

The current Belgium assistant manager has explained the difference between Liverpool and Everton, and why they were a class above the home side at Goodison.

“They are on a different planet, not only them but the two others at the top - the rhythm they are giving to the league is amazing,” said Henry at Amazon Prime.

“But, what’s annoying for Everton is that you could have considered the goals at the beginning.

“At one point I think that everyone in this crowd thought that they could do something and when they gave that gift - unfortunately for the captain, Coleman - everything went south from then.

“Liverpool is on another planet. The intensity on and off the ball, still applying pressure at the end of the game, still trying to play with the same intensity - amazing.”
