Thierry Henry left stunned by Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards as Arsenal legend goes cockney

Thierry Henry has been left stunned by Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.

But not because of any of their views on football, but instead for their lack of culinary knowledge.

Henry, who is Arsenal's highest ever goalscorer and won the Premier League and FA Cup twice while in north London, was a pundit on American TV channel CBS Sports' coverage of the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Henry watched as English duo Manchester City and Liverpool both won to cement their place at the top of their groups with 5-1 and 3-2 victories over Club Brugge and Atletico Madrid respectively.

And after the game finished, presenter Kate Abdo played a game of quickfire questions with the trio of pundits alongside her, to delve into their mindsets a bit more.

There were a number of questions about football, but there were others too, and Henry was left staggered by Carragher and Richards' lack of culinary expertise.

Abdo asked: "Which of these classic culinary dishes do you prefer? Hamburger and fries with soda, fish and chips with a cup of tea or Moules Mariniere with a Merlot?"

Henry replied: Moules Mariniere," before Carragher and Richards both piped up: "What's that?"

Abdo tried to explain, but Henry was staggered, dropping his head to the desk saying: "You see, we have to educate them, this is not possible! What chance do we have? What chance do we have?"

Prior to that, Henry had the other two in stitches, when in response to a question about the restaurant scene in New York, he named a sushi place before saying: "Blimey."

That led to him putting on a cockney accent, following it up with: "Cor blimey, mate."
