Thierry Henry lands dig on Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher before Monday Night Football

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has taken a jovial swipe at former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.

The former Gunners icon is back on our screens as a pundit working alongside Carragher on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football coverage of Liverpool’s trip to Wolves.

Henry has been away from the punditry side of the game for more than two years while he’s been on the managerial scene, taking charge of Ligue 1 side Monaco and MLS franchise Montreal Impact in that time.

During a pre-match show where Henry was being introduced by presenter David Jones, Henry acknowledged the welcome but couldn’t resist a joke where Carragher was on the receiving end.

"I missed you guys, I'm happy to be back,” said Henry. (It's) strange, it's been a long time.

"(I'm) happy to see Jamie, two meters away from me like in the game."

Carragher had many a battle against Henry down the years during the pair’s playing days at Liverpool and Arsenal.

The pair also went viral on social media after Henry’s reaction to Brendan Rodgers’ sacking as Liverpool boss back in October 2015, shortly before Jurgen Klopp was announced as his replacement.

Reacting to Henry's joke, Carragher took to Twitter and warned the Arsenal great it is a "long night" and he is out for revenge.
