Thierry Henry has already hinted at 'special' plan for Jack Wilshere if he lands new job

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and former Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere briefly shared the same dressing room in 2012.

Fast forward nine years and the pair could be reunited at Bournemouth.

According to the Daily Mirror who broke the story on Wednesday afternoon, revealing that the Cherries believe they have convinced the 43-year-old to take over from Jason Tindall and become their new manager.

Although, the BBC state that reports that Henry has been offered the job a premature, but it's understood that Bournemouth are keen to speak with the Gunners legend, but would require permission from his current employers Montreal first.

Whether Henry lands the Bournemouth job remains to be seen, but it appears he is top of a strong list of candidates, including his former teammate Patrick Vieira, Chelsea legend John Terry, and former Huddersfield boss David Wagner.

With Wilshere back at the Vitality Stadium on a short-term contract after leaving West Ham United last summer, Henry's link to the vacant managerial role raises the prospect of a mini- Arsenal reunion.

Whilst the pair have never played together, they did share a dressing room when Henry returned to the Emirates Stadium for a brief loan spell from MLS side New York Red Bulls in 2012.

And judging by what Henry told former England manager Roy Hodgson about Wilshere in 2016, it would appear he has a special plan for the midfielder if he takes over at Bournemouth.

"Roy Hodgson names his squad on Thursday and I am sure he has a plan for Jack. If he is fully fit, you have to take Jack to France," Henry told The Sun prior to the England Euro 2016 squad announcement.

"Hodgson knows he is going to upset some players but Wilshere was a key asset in the qualifying campaign.

"The little man is special. You have to treat him in a special way."

With that said, Wilshere's previous comments about Henry would suggest he's relishing the prospect of being reunited with the Arsenal legend.

"It would be great to have Thierry back, he is a legend," Wilshere said, as per the Mirror, when discussing the prospect of the Frenchman returning to the Gunners for a third spell.

"The fans love him. All the staff here, the ground staff, the medical staff, they all love him. He's a legend. I think to have him around would give the whole club a lift."
