Thierry Henry eyed for La Liga management job after Rafa Benitez snubs club

Real Betis are set to turn their attentions to Thierry Henry with Rafa Benitez ready to snub them.

The Spaniards are on the lookout for a new boss after Quique Setien’s departure and had hoped to lure Benitez back to his homeland.

But the Spaniard has other options of more interest to him if he doesn’t extend his stay at Newcastle this summer.

That will open the door for Henry - if the former Arsenal star wants the Betis job.

He endured a miserable spell in charge of Monaco in his first job as a manager, lasting just three months and 20 games before the axe was wielded.

That won’t put off Betis, however, with the La Liga side keen on Roberto Martinez’s former Belgium assistant.
