Thierry Henry believes Tottenham striker Harry Kane will break Alan Shearer's Premier League record of 260 goals.
Kane is currently seventh on the list, with 166 goals, just nine strikes behind Henry himself (175) - and at the age of 27, the Spurs striker has time on his side as he chases down Shearer's unbelievable tally.
Wayne Rooney is second behind the Newcastle United great with 208 goals, then Andy Cole (187), Sergio Aguero (184) and Frank Lampard (177).
Arsenal legend Henry has been talking about Kane and if he can score another 94 goals to one day equal Shearer's record.
When speaking on UMM's YouTube video 'Assumptions with Thierry Henry', the former striker has been discussing Kane and if he can score another 94 goals to one day equal Shearer's record - and gave an emphatic answer.
“I’ll go down with that (the assumption Harry Kane is one of the best natural finishers the Premier League has ever seen)," he said.
“People thought he was going to be a one-season wonder. Then they were like let’s see if he’s going to do it for two years. Then he did it for two years.
"‘Now let’s see if he can do it for England’ - listen, now nobody can talk about that anymore.
“I said so many times, I think I said it four years ago - he will smash Alan Shearer’s record if he stays in England.
"That is if he stays in England because he’s that good. Now he has to do it.
"Because obviously it’s easy to say - but the record of the big man is really high.”
This is a belief that former boss Jose Mourinho has also shared, just before he was sacked by Spurs in April, when speaking to Sky Sports.
"I think if his career is going to be in the Premier League, I believe he will beat that record quite easily.
"In a normal season without the injury situation that stops him playing for months, I think Harry will score that number of goals every season until the end of his career and the end of his career is not close."
Kane has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs in recent weeks as he aims to win club honours, but football.london understands he is yet to inform the club of his desire to leave.
