Thielen and Smith resting vs. Cardinals is no cause for concern

Adam Thielen and Harrison Smith both sat out of the Vikings’ preseason Week 3 game against the Cardinals.

No cause for concern.

Per SKOR North, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said that Thielen sat out due to soreness, while Smith had a cut that got infected and could have played if necessary.

The team’s next preseason game will be on Thursday against the Bills. We won’t see any of the team’s starters play in that game as the team looks to go into the 2019 season healthy.

The Vikings open the season on Sept. 8 at U.S. Bank Stadium against Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons.
